It has been some time since my last post so I thought I'd update you on the latest for The Pride. Since the previous post we have, of course, performed at several corporate-type gigs as well as the ongoing Mirabel bar gig. Our latest big show was for a wedding reception held at the Manoir Rouville-Campbell on Saturday, the 15th of October. As is typical for wedding receptions I arrived very early in the afternoon to set up the gear then had to wait several hours before performing. Weddings make for long days because of the early start and relatively late finish, but since they are a happy and exciting occasion, they make great parties to perform for. The other members of The Pride and I would like to say that we had a great time and, judging from the reaction of the guests, so did the audience. We also wish the best for the newly married couple in their new life together.
What is next for the band? Well, the busy holiday season is almost upon us and while we do have some available dates between now and the end of the year, they are limited and are being booked up fast. As always, if you are interested in booking The Pride for your event, please contact Marc Coté. This year, much like last year, might be our busiest yet for corporate-type gigs. It seems our reputation as a professional and very entertaining act is getting more widespread every day.
On a personal note Brian Tyler, singer for The Pride is heading off to Florida to vacation at his brother's place. This is Brian's first vacation in more years than I'd care to count so we hope he has a great time and comes home well rested since the moment he gets back we jump right into the next big show.
One last point to make... I actually took some pictures at the wedding reception gig and posted a few of them on the main site. You can see them by clicking 'Wedding 1' on the photo page. Enjoy!
