Table of Hope
On May 9, 2011, The Pride had the honour of performing at the Table of Hope event held every year at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. It's a charity well worth supporting and when asked we immediately agreed to lend a hand. This meant offering our show to the patrons and VIPs attending the after dinner event. Since we would be performing a single 75 minute show we wasted no time and launched into the high-energy material immediately. As expected our audience responded with enthusiasm and enjoyed dancing to our music as much as we enjoyed playing it for them. It was most definitely a memorable evening and all for a good cause.
This year has been extremely busy for us thus far and will continue to be throughout the summer, with a flurry of corporate and wedding gigs, all of which we very much look forward to playing.
This summer we will also try to organize a video shoot at one of these gigs in order to offer a new and updated demo. We're rather overdue and hopefully we can pull together the people and equipment required for a successful shoot.
I admit to having been a bit delinquent lately when it comes to posting photos on our site, partly due to the fact that my camera died and I have yet to replace it. Still Eva Blue did get some wonderful shots of the Table of Hope event and I've put a few of them on our photos page. Go to www.theprideband.com/pics.html and click on the Corporate 19 gallery.
I'll post again sometime this summer with an update on our gig schedule.
