Summer 2008 Update
I haven't posted since January since I've just been a bit too busy. The winter of 2008 was filled with gigs, though most of them were rather small and I had little to report in any case. The summer thus far has been quieter than usual and I've heard from my colleagues in the business that this has been a rather widespread phenomenon, unfortunately. Still, as I write this, things have picked up considerably and we now have bookings every week through much of the fall and even a few for the holiday season.
One gig of note is a wedding anniversary that takes us back to the Chateau Bromont, a venue we very much enjoy playing at. That one is coming up at the end of August. Another interesting gig in September takes us back to the enormous Palais des Congres in downtown Montreal as a 6 piece band. I'm very much looking forward to that one and will likely post photos on our main website.
Speaking of photos, we recently performed for a 50th birthday at a beautiful venue in St-Jean sur Richelieu on the Military College Campus, and I have put up a new gallery for that event. You can visit our site at www.theprideband.com/pics.html and click on the Misc 8 gallery.
As the summer leads into fall and we pick up the pace I should post a bit more often. Check back soon! In the meantime have a great summer, despite all the rain we've been dealing with.
